Backend engineer (Golang) + DevOps
Deta is a young and growing company with a mission to support the creation and use of the next billion cloud ideas.
Our first product, “Deta Cloud”, already has a growing base of thousands of developers who are building their web apps on it. These apps receive millions of requests every month.
We are looking to work with an experienced back-end engineer who is comfortable building a complex yet efficient distributed cloud.
What you’ll be doing:
- Building scalable, secure, and robust runtimes (Python, Node.js + more)
- Building backends and services to handle incoming requests from our clients and APIs
- Building highly scalable database services
- Maintaining thousands of highly available services (DevOps)
Here’s a few things we are looking for (nonetheless, if you don’t check all the boxes, but think you’d be a good fit, we encourage you to reach out):
- Open-mindedness and willingness to learn
- 3-6 years of experience in developing and running web-services using Golang or Python
- Experience with Kubernetes and virtual machines
- Experience with AWS services like EC2, DynamoDB, Lambda, networking stack, etc
Plus points if you know any of the following skills
Terraform, OS virtualization and Rust.
